I was tasked with rebranding KEXP by creating a brand identity for them starting with redesigning their long standing logo. They wanted the new logo to better reflect the brand’s values and beliefs. KEXP is more than your typical radio station. Yes, they play music on air, but they also stream their shows live and offer customized playlists online. They focus on more than one genre, selecting from new, old, and unknown artists. KEXP believes music is so much more than what you hear. It’s a feeling, an experience, a statement, a point of view on life, and an empowering force. I worked on this brand identity re-fresh which attempted to provide a modern touch to KEXP's long history and help expand their brands reach to new mediums.

Live Recording Sub-Branding
With a new performing space, KEXP had the opportunity to host bands in the studio for live recording sessions. The space also allowed a small space for people to view the recording inside and outside the studio. Below is some sub-branding for those sessions leveraging the logo-mark.
